This is the whole of it. What people have written about us — on Google, on Just Eat, on Deliveroo, on Uber Eats — and what we wrote back to them. Nothing trimmed, nothing tidied, and nothing chosen because it flattered us.
Most of these were written on apps, where only we can read them. So they are copied here, in full, with the name of the place they came from underneath. The replies are mine. I write every one of them myself, usually late, usually after service.

SHANIB — thank you. You named the three things a delivery can lose on the way: the heat, the flavour, and the state of the box it arrives in. Getting all three to a door intact is the whole job, and most nights it is decided long before the driver arrives. Glad it held. Come back soon.
beef sandwich and loaded fries were amazing. Quick delivery in an insulated bag which I can reuse.

Clint — thank you. The beef sandwich and the loaded fries are two we take seriously, so it is good to know they reached you in the state they left in. And yes, the bag is meant to be kept. It costs us a great deal more than a carrier bag, and it is the only way we have found of getting food to a door still properly hot. If it has a second life at your house, better still.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely brilliant food! The packaging was excellent, everything arrived well presented and secure. The quality of the food was outstanding—fresh, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. I'll definitely be ordering again and would highly recommend Homalik Iranian Cuisine to anyone looking for authentic, delicious food.

Rafiul — thank you, and thank you for the trouble you took writing it. You mentioned the packaging before the food, which almost nobody does, and then you named the thing we spend the most money on: the ingredients. Food cooked this plainly gives you nowhere to hide a cheap one. It turns up on the plate, every time. We would rather pay for the good one and be judged on it. Come back soon.
Once again everything about this place is brilliant. We ordered a couple of burgers and the Homali beef. The burgers are cooked to perfection and are juicy and well seasoned. The Homali beef is a favourite in our house as the cheese sauce is rich and flavoursome. The staff are so polite and helpful. We have ordered from here probably 10 times so far and I think we will be ordering another 10 times.....at least.

Raja — thank you. Ten orders in, and you are still writing about the food as though it were the first. That is the harder test, and the only one we actually care about passing. The Homali Beef is one we take particular trouble over, so knowing it has become a fixture in your house means a great deal. Here is to the next ten.
Absolutely beautiful! Ordered the Lamb dish with rice and chips, the Lamb was very tender, the rice was full of flavour. Well packaged, food arrived in a lovely little bag which was insulated so the food was really hot and fresh. I will definitely order from here again

Sarah — thank you. The lamb is a shank, cooked slowly for hours until it gives up and lifts off the bone; there is no quick version of it, which is exactly why we serve it. And the rice takes its flavour from the same pot. You noticed both, and you noticed the bag was insulated, which tells me the food arrived as it was meant to. That is the whole job. Come back soon.
Brilliant. Absolutely lovely chips, and the burgers/sandwiches were so nice. One of the best takeaways we've used on the Wirral. Definitely recommended.

The chips get more attention here than anything else on the menu, mostly because everybody orders them and almost nobody expects much of them. Glad they held their own. Come back soon.

Some guests arrive carrying their own light, and you are one of them. Telling your friends about us is generous; bringing that into the shop is the part I would not trade. Always a pleasure.
Wow what can I say but the best burger I have ever had. The fries were standard but the toppings made them amazing. Will definitely be back.

Fisher — thank you, and thank you for the honesty about the fries. "Standard" is fair, and it is the kind of note a kitchen can actually use. The toppings were doing the work that night; the chips underneath should be doing their share too. Next time you order, ask for the golpar salt on them and see whether that changes your mind. The burger, at least, seems to have made its case.
Absolutely 10000/10 once again - tried the sandwich this time round since I usually get the rice and was AMAZED. Best food i've tasted, can't get enough 🌟

Lydia — 10000 out of 10, and you had already given us the rice more times than I can count. Straying to the sandwich was a risk on your part, and I am glad it paid. That is the thing about a menu: the dish you have not tried yet is the one still waiting to become your favourite. There are a few more of those left for you.
Definitely going to re order from here - if there was a version that had no chips and a bit more rice it'd be a guaranteed 10/10 for anyone but the chips are really really nice

Will — thank you, and your suggestion has been made to us more than once now, which tells us something. You do not have to wait for the menu to catch up: order as you normally would and ask in the notes for no chips and more rice, and we will build it that way for you. The chips being missed is the best possible reason to leave them out.
Fantastic food & brilliant customer service, with a warm & friendly reception. This is not your typical takeaway experience. I recommend anyone in the area that gets the chance gives Homali a try - I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

"This is not your typical takeaway experience" is a line I have quoted since, because it came from someone who clearly knows the typical from the rare. You also wrote for us on Google, and looked closely enough to notice the meat itself. It has been a while now. You have been missed, and there is a Homali Lamb waiting.
This was purely incredible. The packaging was even decadent! Everything tasted incredible we ordered a beef sandwich, the lamb and rice, Soup, Homali burger, and some Homali chips. To give context we had just got back from holiday and spent a week eating out in beautiful Spanish restaurants and this meal beat all of them. Everything was nicely spiced and flavoured and you could tell that it was fresh. I can’t get over how melt in the mouth the lamb was. We will definitely be ordering again.

Raja — thank you. You had just come home from a week of eating in Spain, which is a hard week to follow, and you ordered from a small kitchen in Wallasey anyway. To be measured against that and come out well is not something I will forget. The lamb takes hours precisely so it can do what you describe. Thank you for ordering the whole table, and for saying so at this length.

We cook them over real wood charcoal, which is slower and messier than a flat grill and the only reason a burger tastes like that. Glad it was worth the extra letters in your recommendation. Growing up in the middle eastern world as a westerner i have grown up with a taste for this type of food which is not very popular here so finding this restaurant is amazing. its beautifully cooked and well packaged .

Thank you. Of all the ways this food can be judged, being recognised by someone who grew up eating it is the one that carries the most weight — and the one I was most nervous about. You know what it is supposed to taste like. That you found it here, in Wallasey, is the whole reason this kitchen exists. Come back whenever you are missing it.
Don't even need to finish my food to say this is one of the nicest places I've ordered a meal from in years. Take pride in their food presentation and packaging. Couldn't compliment it anymore. Just hope it's this great every time as I will be coming back for sure

Bacon burger was fire chips were better aswell
Portion sizes could be a bit bigger. Overall lovely and quality food. Recommend and will be ordering again.
